This disclaimer shall apply to ALL 1.800.REPAIRS Customers, 1.800.REPAIRS Callers, 1.800.REPAIRS Members, 1.800.REPAIRS Service Provider Companies Located on the 1.800.REPAIRS Directory or in any way associated with 1.800.REPAIRS.

    

1. The service provider(s) that respond to you are independently owned and operated; 

2. 1-800-REPAIRS assumes no responsibility for the service provider's statements, promises, work performed and shall not be responsible for any possible damages or injuries whatsoever that may occur on or around your property; 

3. It is your responsibility to review and approve any estimate, proposal or agreement including payment terms between you and the service provider. 

  

1-800-REPAIRS does not endorse, recommend, or make any representations or warranties about the service or installation provided by any installer or remodeler, including but not limited to installers/remodelers located on or obtained through the use of any 1-800-REPAIRS website. Any information provided by 1-800-REPAIRS is solely for informational purposes only. We make no guarantees or representations regarding the skills of any installer/remodeler, nor do we guarantee or warrant the outcome and quality of the job that they may perform if you elect to retain their services. The installers/remodelers are not employees or agents of 1-800-REPAIRS, and your choice to use any installer/remodeler is at your own risk. Your rights are governed by the terms of the contract you enter into with the installer/remodeler you select, and by applicable federal, state, provincial and/or local laws. 

  

1-800-REPAIRS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY OR OTHER DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR CHOICE TO USE ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED REGARDING INSTALLERS/REMODELER INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY DAMAGES OR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH DISPUTES, CONTRACTS, OR YOUR DEALINGS WITH THE INSTALLERS/REMODELERS. Should you have a dispute with any installer/remodeler, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO RELEASE 1-800-REPAIRS AND ITS AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, PARENT, AFFILIATES, OR SUBSIDIARIES FROM ANY DAMAGES OR CLAIMS OF EVERY KIND OR NATURE, SUSPECTED AND UNSUSPECTED, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, AND DISCLOSED OR UNDISCLOSED, INCLUDING CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH SUCH DISPUTES AND YOUR DEALINGS WITH THE INSTALLERS/REMODELERS. 

  

Prior to having any work performed, we advise you to follow these basic guidelines (especially on larger projects) 

  

BEFORE EVER HAVING ANY WORK PERFORMED.... 

  • Ask for a written proposal prior to any work commencing. 

  • Ask for proof of insurance and a copy of a current certificate of insurance. 

  • Ask for a copy of trade licensed as required for the work to be performed. You can search with your local contractors licensing board 

  • Ask for customer references from the contractor. 

  • Never give money down 

  • Always have your attorney review any contract prior to signing any contract (especially large contracts) 

  • Ask for a completion date 

  • Ask for a written guarantee 

  • Ask for a manufacturer’s guarantee on any installed products/equipment etc. 

  • Ask if the contactor is locally owned including their address 

  • Ask for the company’s web site to review 

  • Finally, you can never ask enough questions before signing any agreement.
